2009-era ‘Illustrated History’ posters
In September 2009 alumni presented the students of The LION 90.7fm with two “Illustrated History” posters. The first poster featured an historical sketch of student radio’s re-birth as “WKPS 90.7fm” in 1995. Byran C. Marsh filmed and produced this short documentary on The LION 90.7fm’s morning program The Wake-Up Call, which first aired in early 2007, eventually dying out in 2013.
Mount Nittany Life Estate Deed
In June 2009, The LION 90.7fm was presented with a gift from alumni that graced the station’s HUB-Robeson Center studio. The gift was a Mount Nittany “Life Estate Deed,” a legal deed to one square inch of the iconic Mountain. These deeds are sold by the Mount Nittany Conservancy and proceeds help conserve the Mountain for future generations. The gift also was …
